Who these terms are between

Lex Academy is operated by SoftKarrot, in Bangladesh. These terms cover the Lex Academy Android app and the website at lexacademy.app. Where this page says “we”, it means SoftKarrot; “you” means the person using Lex Academy.

Using Lex Academy means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it. How we handle your personal data is a separate page — Privacy Policy.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code we text to it. Keep that number and the codes to yourself — anyone who can read them can sign in as you. Please keep your profile truthful: your name should be the one you are known by.

Lex Academy is for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian. You can close your account at any time — see account deletion.

Other members

Members can find each other by name, username or Lex ID, and send connection requests. Please treat people the way you would in a classroom. Do not:

• harass, bully, threaten or send unwanted repeated requests to anyone,
• pretend to be someone else, or create fake accounts,
• put anything abusive, hateful, sexual or unlawful in your name, photo or bio,
• post other people’s personal details,
• use Lex Academy for spam, scams or advertising.

You can block any member: neither of you will see the other in search or be able to send the other a request. You can report a member from the app, with a reason, and our team will review it. You can also email support@lexacademy.app.

Credits

Some features may use Lex Academy credits. Credits are a way to pay for features inside Lex Academy only: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for money, and do not expire while your account is open. If a feature fails after credits were taken for it, the credits are returned to your balance.

The price of any credits is shown before you pay. If you were charged in error, email us and we will put it right. Unused credits are lost if you delete your account.

Using Lex Academy properly

Please do not try to break into other people’s accounts, scrape or copy member information, interfere with the service, or use Lex Academy to do something against the law. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

What we are and are not responsible for

We work to keep Lex Academy available and correct, but we do not promise it is free of every error or never unavailable. We are not responsible for what other members say or do, though we act on reports.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits any right you have under Bangladeshi consumer law, which stands regardless of what this page says.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The date at the top says when it last changed. A significant change will also be announced in the app.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and disputes go to the courts of Bangladesh.
